Designed as a comfortable home in the mountains, the apartment sleeps six in three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Events and Local Culture
Across winter and summer, the Three Valleys host a varied programme of live music, comedy, sporting events, festivals and traditional celebrations. Every August, La Fête à Fanfoué brings Les Allues to life with a celebration of Savoyard heritage, including traditional dress, music, crafts and local food.
Summer sees road cycling races, sportives, with major downhill, cross-country and Enduro mountain-bike events. The Tour de France regularly visits the region, making this a particularly exciting area for cycling enthusiasts.
Looking ahead, the French Alps will host the 2030 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, bringing some of the world's biggest winter-sport events to the region.
History
Nestled between dramatic peaks and quiet alpine pastures, Savoy carries a story shaped by a thousand years of independence. From the Counts and Dukes of Savoy to the Kings of Sardinia, this mountain region forged alliances across Europe before joining France in 1860. Its castles, traditions, and proud Savoyard identity still echo through the valleys today — a living heritage that surrounds the Old Sawmill, once part of the village’s timber-working past before being transformed into its current use. Les Allues is the original Méribel village where the resort’s story began. Long before ski lifts arrived, it was a traditional mountain community of stone chalets, narrow lanes. It remains the historic heart of the valley and retains its timeless Savoyard charm to this day.
