Events and Local Culture
Les Allues hosts a weekly village market and the lively Fête à Fanfoué each August, celebrating Savoyard music, dancing and fireworks. Across winter and summer, the Three Valleys offer a diverse range of open-air concerts and seasonal events.
The Tour de France often passes through the valley, and summer brings cycling races and sportives. Méribel is also a mountain-biking hub, hosting major downhill, cross-country, e-MTB and Enduro events.
Our apartment sits in the heart of the region chosen for the 2030 Winter Olympics—with Méribel’s Roc de Fer alpine course and Courchevel’s ski-jumping venue close by, you’ll be right at the centre of future Olympic action.
Getting around
The Olympe Gondola—just a 6-minute walk away—operates from December to April and July to August, taking you down to the spa town of Brides-les-Bains or up to Méribel and the main ski lifts.
The free resort bus, with a stop close to the apartment, runs frequently (and late) from December to April. Summer services are reduced, and during the quieter shoulder seasons it’s best to plan alternative transport.
History
The apartment was once part of the villages timber working past before being converted to its current use. Les Allues is the original Méribel village — a picture-perfect Alpine hamlet where the resort’s story began. Long before the ski lifts arrived, this was a traditional mountain community of stone chalets, narrow lanes, and timeless Savoyard character and it remains the historic heart of the valley. Just a short stroll from the apartment, the local village museum offers a charming window into the valley’s past — from the outdoor bread oven you can still see, the history of mountain farming and old ski equipment, and the traditional Savoyard way of life.
